Kuala Lumpur, 11 February 2010 – MNRB Group has pledged its role as a caring corporate citizen towards the community by bringing cheers and prosperous spirit in celebrating the coming Year of the Tiger. In view of this, a CSR activity was organized with The Selangor King George V Silver Jubilee House, Kuala Lumpur today which saw the Group contributing cash donation and food hampers to its residents. Also present at the event was Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Yong Seng Yeow, Exco Chairman and Trustee of the Home, to receive the donations.

Established in 1940, the Selangor King George V Silver Jubilee House is a Home for senior citizens 60 years old and above. The Home currently has 26 residents who are all homeless, have no dependants and support from their family members.

MNRB Group had in the past, organized many charitable activities in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. With the personal involvement of its employees in such activities, the Group hoped it could further enhance the family spirit amongst all its employees and also inculcating caring society values amongst them. This participation will not just further enhance a good relationship between the corporate sectors and NGOs but also to help them realize their dreams and hopes in aid of reaching out to those in need.
