Kuala Lumpur, 13 November 2009 – A.M. Best Co., had on 13 November 2009, affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of “A-“ (Excellent) and an Issuer Credit Rating of “a-“ to Malaysian Reinsurance Berhad or Malaysian Re.  A.M. Best also confirmed the outlook for both ratings as Stable.

Malaysian Re is Malaysia’s leading reinsurance company and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad or MNRB.  Malaysian Re was first rated by A.M. Best in 2006.
